Glasgow and Edinburgh are on opposites sides of Glasgow and are 45 miles apart. A quick journey planner shows it would take around 15 hours to walk between the two cities, although it probably isn't a very safe route due to the number of motorways around both cities.

Glasgow International Airport does not have a train station. To make this journey you would have to travel into Glasgow City Centre, the easiest way to do this would be to take the shuttle bus to Buchanan Bus Station. From Buchanan Bus Station, it is around a ten minute walk to Queen Street Station where a train to Edinburgh will take around an hour, depending on the route.

Well first Livingston isn't even in Glasgow, it is only a few miles west of Edinburgh. And it only takes maybe a hour and half

The Lothian areas are on the South bank of the Firth of Forth and include Edinburgh, so the distance would be about 80 kilometers.
I don't think you can sail around Scotland as it is attached to England. maybe there is a canal link between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
