Well I don't really know much, but I heard that at the age of 17 you are allowed to move out, but I do believe that you must live with someone old enough like 18 or older, and still go to school. If you have a car and it isn't under your name your parents CAN take it away. But I don't know if this is true. I wish someone would answer this question cause I am 17 and I am ready to move out!
AnswerThe legal age of majority in the state of Alabama is 19, therefore a person under the designated age could not "legally" and arbitrarily leave parental custody.I know that in Mississippi, the law basicly states that basicly, you are considered a legal adult and are free to move where ever you like... i am pretty sure its the same there. * The legal age of majority for Alabama is 19, it generally applies to court orders of child support or non-felony criminal offenses. Technically the custodial parent could request that an 18-year-old remain at home until he or she reaches 19. However, authorities would not intervene as long as the person had completed his or her required education and would be living in a suitable environment. FYI, the actual legal age of majority for Mississippi is 21, not 18.
In Alabama, you must be 19-years-old in order to move out of your parent's home if you are unmarried. This is due to the age of adulthood in Alabama being 19-years-old, according to the Code of Alabama.

Alabama does not have a specific age of which a child can be left alone at home. However, the national safekids campaign recommends that no child under 12 years of age be left at home alone.
