How were Japanese Americans treated in the US following the Pearl Harbor attack and the war with Japan? Well before December 7th 1941 there were treated like normal American citizens but as soon as Japan bombed Pearl Harbor they were treated like trash. They were riped away from their home, jobs, and even in some case family. They were trapped in internment camps for up to 6 years. Even after the government released them they weren't treated fairly. They had to work for everything back that they lost in the internment process.
most Japanese Americans were treated badly by Americans there were mass movements of them to camps to prevent espionage
They were treated like enemy spies by some racist people and then were put into internment camps for 5 years.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941) many people started discriminating against Japanese Americans because the Japanese were the people who bombed Pearl Harbor. People looked at the Japanese Americans as spies and untrustworthy. FDR saw this in people and relocated the Japanese Americans to camps in Wyoming to "protect" them. Mexicans and African Americans were not relocated and looked at as spies. People still discriminated againsts these ethnics groups but not to the lenghts as which they did to the Japanese Americans.
Japanese Americans.
The Japanese bombed us, the Americans at Pearl Harbor.
During World War II, Japanese citizens in the United States were treated differently due to widespread fear and prejudice following the attack on Pearl Harbor. This led to the belief that Japanese Americans could be potential spies or saboteurs, resulting in Executive Order 9066, which authorized the internment of around 120,000 Japanese Americans in camps. This action was rooted in racial discrimination and wartime hysteria, contrasting with how other ethnic groups, including German and Italian Americans, were treated. Ultimately, this unjust treatment has been recognized as a significant violation of civil rights in American history.
They were treated very poorly .
In general, they were not. However, immediately following the attack on the US at Pearl Harbor, they were seen as being the enemies of the US.

The Japanese were treated very harshly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. This was due to the government trying to understand if anyone gave the Japanese direct coordinates to Pearl Harbor.
