Not compared to the Antarctic.
Birds migrate to Florida for winter because up north, the winter gets very cold and the birds don't like being so cold, so they fly south for winter where its not so cold as up north.
maritime tropical (M.T)
South Florida has essentially a true tropical climate, holding steady temperatures most of the time unlike the rest of the state's subtropical climate. Although the Tropic of Cancer lies just south of Key West, cutting through Cuba, Florida's southern tip below Lake Okeechobee rarely experiences severe cold. Strong cold fronts from the north sometimes push winter freezes through much of Florida's other regions. 2010 was an exceptionally cold winter for ALL of Florida.
only month that is cold is January.
Its not cold its warm in south Africa :) What about the Drakensburg escarpments, there is snow there in winter
It's only cold in winter. The interior of South Africa is a plateau which is high above sea level. The hight is what makes it cold in winter and mild in summer. The Cape is on sea level but it is hit by a lot of cold fronts in winter.
its probably cold.
no. only birds fly south for the winter because of the cold.
Florida is warm in winter primarily due to its geographical location and climate. Situated near the Tropic of Cancer, it benefits from a subtropical and tropical climate that results in mild temperatures year-round. The Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean also moderate temperatures, preventing extreme cold. Additionally, warm air masses from the south contribute to Florida's mild winter weather.
there not that far apart but the south is closer to the equator
Secession winter was the winter of 1860-1861, when 7 southern states (South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas) seceded in rapid succession.
Orioles do live in Florida. Florida is one of the locations to which Orioles go in the cold Winter months.
