Florida is a part
A trip to somewhere warm, such as South Florida or a tropical island.
It doesn't really matter how close it is all it matters is where the location is, for example; why Florida is so warm is because IT is closer to the sun, if in Florida is summer then somewhere else is winter, mostly somewhere else in the world
they lived in Florida the region was warm sunny in the summer and very cold in the winter
the weather can be dry or wet depends on the season it is In the winter it could rain. It could also get in the 50s but that doesn't happen too much. Usually it's in the 70s. The weather is pretty much perfect though. Its not hot and its not too cold. Maybe a light sweater. Each year is different last year it was HOT! the year before it was so so and the year before that it was COLD! Florida weather is unpredictable especially in the winter. It can be 80 one day and the next day its 55 for a high. Frost/Freeze is possible. South Florida can get cold as well and Central FL can get very cold. North Florida has seen Snow flurries. Sometimes in the winter it can be in the 30s in the morning and than by lunch time its in the 70s. Which makes it hard to swim sometimes even though in the day it is warm enough to do so but because of the cold nights the water isnt as warm :(. It just depends each year.
Birds migrate to Florida for winter because up north, the winter gets very cold and the birds don't like being so cold, so they fly south for winter where its not so cold as up north.
As a native, Florida is always sunny, sometimes it rains, and it would be very rare to have snow in Florida. During Fall and Winter the temperature drops between the 50's and 90's Fahrenheit. So, if you're going to Florida bring lots of clothes that won't make you feel warm!
Great places for warm winter vacations are Florida, the Bahamas, Mexico, Australia, and California. Other great places for winter vacations are Colorado, Alaska, Europe, and Canada.
They don't need to keep warm, they have a double coat so they stay warm.
