I don't believe "stress" is enough to get emancipated. Whatever reason you were put in a hospital really isn't as relevent as it was a mental hospital. I would talk to a school counselor, or see your local courthouse for the statutes. I think emancipation laws are different for all states. I think abuse, and neglect are relevent reasons.. it just depends on your state. Beings that you are almost 18, I am not sure it's a benefit, as much as a waste of resources.
