Yes, in places, there is a lot of flat land too. The St. Lawrence valley and south of the river is quite flat though there are some peculiar old eroded volcanoes popping out of plains in the eastern townships. The north side of the river is much more textured and these mountains are called the Laurentians/Lauretides. The Gaspe Peninsula in the east has mountains as high as 1200 m and up in the far north east there are mountains close to the 1500 m mark which are the highest mountains in Canada east of the Rockies.
