Congratulations, you got a good GPA. But to get into university of Miami a decent SAT scores are also a must. After you accomplish this, start thinking about ways you can separate yourself from the competition. Extracurricular activities are very important. Lastly, make sure you want to go to university of Miami. I know a lot of students that thought they wanted to go to their dream school, but when they got in and went to that school, they were really disappointed. You can get information about the academic requirements here: http://www.unigo.com/university_of_miami/rankings and reviews of university of Miami by actual students here: http://www.unigo.com/university_of_miami/reviews
The last time I checked, it was 3.8

A 4.5 GPA is good enough to graduate and go to an IVY graduate school.
No.
If you graduated with a GPA of an C, there is most likely a university in California that accepts such GPA grade; each university will have different rules. You could also enter a weak university and then transfer to a good one at a later time.
Ben Roethlisberger graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Education. While his exact GPA has not been publicly disclosed, it is known that he maintained a high academic standing while excelling in football. Given the demands of being a student-athlete, it is likely that Roethlisberger had a GPA above the university's minimum requirements for graduation.
Law schools are not concerned with your Grade 8 GPA. They want to see your college GPA.
