Yes it is true. Recently in my social studies class we watched a movie about the nukes and after it was bombed(Japan) Americans went and obesrved the damage and wrekage of the destroyed cites. ONe of the parts show the American laying on the shadow and see what it was. they found out it was shadows of people. im not sure why it happened maybe because of the heat burning the rest of the ground and that part being somwhat shiled by persons body for milli seconds i not sure but i no its true. The people whos shoadows were there got totally vaporizzed by the bomb cuz they were so close and the intense heat of the bomb.
