Additionally, some researchers and workers are stationed there to study the environment and conduct scientific research.
Although it has been the test site for 224 nuclear bombs, the 1500 (+/-) occupants that resided there were removed for the years they were doing the testings there. 2700 people (+/-) live there now. What the effects that the testing grounds may be having upon them I do not know.
