Aleutian islands
The island that runs between Alaska and extends toward Asia is called the Aleutian Islands. This chain of volcanic islands stretches for about 1,200 miles and marks the boundary between the Bering Sea to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south.

Asia and North America have many islands as a part of them. Asia includes islands like Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, while North America is home to the Caribbean islands and some islands off the coast of Canada and Alaska.
North America and Europe. None of mainland Asia extends into the Southern Hemisphere, but the Indonesian islands do and are considered part of Asia (so Asia would not properly answer the question, unless one is asking solely of continental mainlands and not including their islands).
It is 2.4 miles from little Diomede Island in Alaska, North America to Big Diomede Island, Russia, Asia. Halfway between the two Islands is the International Border and the International Dateline.
The Bering Strait connects Asia and Alaska.
The Bering Straits separates Alaska from Russia and Asia.
Both Africa and Asia extend south of the equator, although for Asia it is only the islands of Indonesia.
Alaska - Western Russia is just across the Bering Strait.
