Maybe.
The European Union, with the passage of the Treaty of Lisbon, has already brought economic and foreign policy under the control a central European government, in addition to the creation of a European President and a European Foreign Affairs Minister. The European Union already has the three branches of government, the legislative being the European Parliament (EP) and the Council of the European Union (CEU), the executive being the European Commission (EC), and the judicial being the European Court of Justice (ECJ) and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). There are already many instances of these joint European institutions overiding the power of the national governments of the member-states (e.g. Italian practice of putting up crucifixes in public schools was banned by the ECHR).
There is still a ways to go, though, before Europe is completely united. Military matters and defense policy is still in the hands of national governments (although the Treaty of Lisbon gives the European Union the power to create a European defense policy with the unanimous approval of the member-states). There is also a growing eurosceptic movement, particularly in Great Britain, that is opposed to greater integration. However, most political analysts and speculators believe that the European Union will eventually become a European Federation or a United States of Europe. No one knows when, or if, it will happen, but the ingredients needed to make it happen are already there.
It united countries and divided countries.
yes
Yes this is very possible. In fact, many people believe this will be the future of the European Union. It is highly likely that the European Union will engulf all or most of Europe and fuse into one nation. The name of this country will most likely be Europe, United Europe, European Union, Union of Europe, etc.
Ethnic groups conquered and united lands, forming empires and states which eventually morphed into countries.
Their individual countries
There are two Western Europes. The fist form is a form that is not so generally thought of when one is referring to Western Europe. This region is one of the four regions defined by the United Nations. It includes the countries of Andorra, Monaco, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Austria. This would be a total of 10 countries. The second and most used form of Western Europe is the one you would get by splitting Europe in east and west, so basically this area accounts for half of Europe. The countries included in this region include all countries listed above in addition to Iceland, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Malta, Italy, Vatican City, San Marino, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Greece. This would be a total of 24 countries.
There are two countries that form the borders of the United States: Canada and Mexico. Canada forms the northern border of the United States and Mexico forms the Southern border of the United States.
England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland. The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, also part of Europe, are not part of the United Kingdom but form a federation with it. Gibraltar and the military territories of Akrotiri and Dhekelia in Cyprus are other British possessions within Europ. the
The countries that form classical Europe are. France, Britain, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Greece, Spain and Portugal.
The most common reason for countries to form organizations is to accomplish something or to present a united front on an international issue.
Europe is the continent. Other countries form part of it, both on the mainland and islands that surround the mainland.
It is in the North Western Europe. The 5 countries Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland form Scandinavia.
