Further, on the north, it is bordered by Iowa On the east side, it is bordered by two states: Illinois for the most part with just a tiny part of the southeast rubbing corners with Kentucky. On the south, it is bordered by two states: most of the southern border is in contact with Arkansas with just a very small portion bordering with Tennessee. So, in total, Missouri shares borders with eight states.
