scottish migration to Australia . what happened??

around 41,000 peoplee settled in Victoria between 1940 and 1980 due to poverty famine and epidemics.

many of them came over for the gold rush but As the gold rush declined, many Scottish immigrants moved on to farming, industry or commerce. Growing community organisations such as Presbyterian churches and highland societies provided a focus for social and cultural activities. many people became farmers and still live in geelong and other city and rual places in Victoria ( in studding scotish imigration in social life at school)
