Yes, there have been a few. The most significant was an F3 tornado that struck on June 12, 1984 injuring 2 people. After striking Bay city the tornado crossed Saginaw Bay and made landfall in Huron County, Michigan where it traveled a number of miles before dissipating.

The tornado was over 1/4 mile wide and traveled 48 miles.
