Of course. Otherwise the result would have been 100% for the separation.
Quebec tried multiple times having independence, which means Québec would be a country, but to do so, we need to have a referendum. A referendum is asking the population to vote on a question. They had referendums multiple times, but because Canada's entire population was asked, they are way more English people, outisde the province of quebec, so, they lost.

Trudeau was a very charismatic and influential politician that lead Canada during very trying times. Some people loved him, some hated him. But most agree that he had a great influence on Canada. And there was no doubt that he loved this country, its lifestyle, and its roots. He was involved in bringing in the army to restore order during the FLQ crisis in 1970. He made sure that the universal healthcare system was not undermined or dismantled. He made Canada's federal services officially bilingual, meaning they have to be offered in both French and English. He was successful in helping keep Canada together during the first Quebec referendum. And he repatriated the Canadian constitution in 1982.
Not likely, although there is a separatist movement which is quite active within the province. It would not be in the best interests of the people of Quebec to secede from Canada.
This is because the people of Quebec want to keep their French culture and religion.
Quebec is the largest land wise but Ontario has the most people.
