It depends on the size and type of house or building. In Mexico there are small adobe houses and palm shacks that almost anybody could build; there are brick and filler block houses made by small groups of people; larger houses and small buildings require medium to large groups of workers and more sophisticated machines such as concrete mixers, cranes and excavators. Larger buildings and skyscrapers require large amounts of workers and complex construction machinery such as pipelayers, lifts and boring machines.
In sum, houses in Mexico are built much the same way American houses are; The exception being in Mexico there are almost no houses made of wood, as timber has a greater price of 35-40% due to the rough topography of Mexico.
