The river Avon is famous, it passes through Shakespeare Country. The Bure in Norfolk passes through the Norfolk Broads and is famous for its boating and leisure industries. The Mersey in North West England, it has been as centre of communication since the 18th Century. Ships have sailed all over the world from here, both passenger and freight.. The river Severn is the longest river in Britain, it is navigable by large ships and connects to a large network of canals. The Spey in Scotland, famous for salmon fishing and the whiskey distilleries . The river Wye, is well known for salmon fisheries and scenery. The river Terne flows through a area of great natural beauty...and so on and so on......
