Ethnic Norwegians are the largest group. The other main group native to Norway are the Sami, also known as Lapps. There are also many Finns and Jews.

Norwegians are considered to be a Norse/North Germanic/Scandinavian people, other Scandinavian peoples (Danes, Swedes and Faroese) are also present in Norway.

Most other ethnic groups in Norway are immigrant groups, who have lived in Norway for less than 100 years. The largest non-Scandinavian European peoples are the Germans and Poles. Pakistanis are the largest "visible minority" (non-White) group in Norway. Pakistanis, Somalis, Vietnamese and Iraqis all have large presences in Norway.
