Pacific Region

The next region in your virtual tour is the Pacific Region.

Note: The timeline for each lesson in this course is 3-4 weeks Do not rush your research. Enjoy the images that you see and all that you discover on your virtual journey.

Lesson 5 Project: Pacific Region

Directions: Follow the directions in each step below to complete the assignment. Do not copy and paste your answers from the Internet but write your answers in your own words. List each web page you used as a resource.

Step 1. States & Capitals: Identify each state and its capital city which is located within the land region. List the states and capitals in columns or bullet list. If any part of the state lies within the region, include that state in the list. Some states may be listed in more than one region.

Step 2. Region Climates: Identify and define the different climates within the land region (not each state).

Step 3. Natural Resources: Identify the 4 most common natural resources for the land region. State the relative location for each (where is each resource located within the land region).

Step 4. Industry: Identify the 3 most common industries within the region.

List each industry separately and write a short essay detailing the reasons why that industry is important to the region (think resources & location).

Step 5. Physical Features: Conduct research on each of the physical features listed below. Identify the location for the following physical features located within the Pacific region. Describe any unique characteristics of each.
