What are the subjects of O level in Pakistan?

From what I understand O level qualification is the lowest level General Certificate of Education (GCE) needed to study at a higher educational institution in the UK.

The O-levels seem to cover many subjects. The specifics may depend on where you will actually be taking classes.

The British Council website says that,

"O-level....are available in a wide range of subjects covering the whole curriculum. Within the subject areas which are generally available, there is often a choice of several syllabuses. You can take any number of O-levels, depending on the qualifications that your chosen institutions ask for. Most students take between seven and ten O-levels after studying for two to three years in their chosen subjects."

There is no scope in Pakistan of O/level. The people who are able to afford this expensive studies, are capable of doing O/level. As the Pakistanis thing that the person who is studying O/level is a very intelligent person. After the O/level if a son of poor person do not get enough mark to get a scholarship, he will not be able to continued his studies. He will also not be able to have admission in inter because the university do not give the admission without the metric degree.

Being a Pakistani, I preferred that if we have to go abroad for job than we are not bond to do the O/level but if we have to stay in Pakistan we should do metric system
