Texas claimed parts of present-day New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Wyoming. The territory making up all or part of the following states were ceded to the USA by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which ended the Mexican-American War in 1848: California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming.
