Utes (short for Utility vehicles) are the Australian equivalent of the pickup truck. They include vehicles such as the Ford Courier or Ranger and other 4WD traybacks. Most designs are unique to Australia, and are basically a passenger sedan, preferably with a seamless body-moulded tray.
