Sardinia and Sicily are two islands off the coast of Italy. The Italian for 'Sardinia' is 'Sardegna', which is pronounced 'sahr-DEH-gnah'. It's off the western coast of the Italian peninsula.
The Italian for 'Sicily' is 'Sicilia'. It's pronounced 'see-CHEE-lee-ah'. It's off the southern coast of Italy, just across the Straits of Messina from the peninsular province of Reggio Calabra.
