Casual wear of any color or the colors of the flag and uniforms are what Italians wear on Liberation Day (Festa della Liberazione). April 25th commemorates the end of World War II (September 1, 1939 - September 2, 1945) and the overthrow of Nazism's influence on insular and peninsular Italy. Italians who are not part of an event such as a parade may wear whatever makes them feel comfortable whereas those who are participates in marches or another memorial activities wear uniforms either from wartime years or the present age.
