When a pager states "tone only," it means the device is set to alert the user solely through audible tones or beeps, without any accompanying vibration or visual signals. This mode is typically used in environments where silent notifications are preferred, allowing the user to receive alerts discreetly. It indicates that the pager will not provide any additional notifications like vibrations or message displays.
When your pager displays "tone only," it means that the device is set to alert you with an audible tone without vibrating or displaying a message. This setting is often used to minimize distractions or to indicate that a message is coming but not yet fully received. It typically signals that you should check the device for messages when it's convenient for you.
The purpose of a Pager Motor is to vibrate the pager / cell phone as a signal to its user, either instead of or in addition to making some kind of tone / music / ring. The vibrating is caused by a tiny rotary electrical motor, with an off-center weight attached to the drive shaft. When it spins, like a washing machine with an off-center load, it shakes the cell phone or pager.
Pagers work by using radio waves. Messages are sent via touch-tone phone, where the person sending the message types a text using their number key pad. The message is then displayed on the pager's screen.
If you take a look at the label on the back of the pager, it is a 7 or 8 character code. It may start with a letter, but there are no letters embedded within the numbers. My pager lists it as the "FCC Number" The capcode is dependent upon the paging format. There are at least a half-dozen types of paging formats ranging from analog 2-tone capcodes to digital POCSAG that has 7 digits for capcodes. A common voice capcode format is 2-tone, which has 2 unique frequency tones that a pager will listen to. When it hears its 2 tones, it will page. Most of these capcodes are 4 characters .. like C123 or G456. The first character says what capcode plan is used, the second will tell you which columns the 3rd and 4th to look in. Its a series of table lookups if you have the capcode. If you have the 2 frequencies, those frequencies will resolve to several possible capcodes, but they all should cause the pager to alert when called.
There was a very mean tone in his voice when he spoke.
Describe the tone? And what he said?
no
In pure tone audiometry, "tone" refers to the frequency of the sound being tested, measured in Hertz (Hz). "High tone mean" is not a standard term in audiometry, but it could potentially refer to testing frequencies in the high-frequency range, typically above 2000 Hz, which is important for assessing hearing loss related to noise exposure or aging.
tone
I have no idea what you mean my tone so I can not help. Sorry. :)
