They have a wide variety of food places in Punta Cana Resorts. they have Mexican, Chinese, Italian, French, etc. They also have American foods and local foods, like fish. But be advised that the "American" food can be very disappointing. Consider, for example, a "Pizza" with asparagus and chicken on it (ugh!). Do try the native Dominican food - it is excellent, most especially the paella, which has to be tasted to be believed!
