What is Brazil's culture largely made of?

The Brazilian culture is rich from the influence of Portuguese settlers, Africans and Native Brazilians. However, the Portuguese influence is significant as can be seen from the wide spread of Catholicism in Brazil. Portuguese is the countryâ??s official language.

Certainly most people would answer "Portugal"; however you should know that that European country was a main "conqueror" of Brazilian territory, but not the only one that influenced this "new" country, even because Portugal was somewhat based upon France and "paid much due" (as in figurate as in proper meaning as well) to England, yeah! So we´d better mention Portugal*, France*, Italy, Germany, England*, Spain* (all together!), but NEVER forgetting that native (indigenous) folks were Brazilian first and main basis, besides much contribution of many African groups, that offered a lot of things, customs and ideas to Brazil, as "newer immigrants" such as Japanese, Poles and other Slavic groups, Arabs, Turks and smaller groups of others, so that anybody who visits Brazil now can notice a kind of melting-pot as regards to people and habits.
