very uncomfortable extremely high humidity, big bugs that run across your feet when you are walking on the side walk (look like cockroaches) however, lots to see and do, friendly people, great food, and bathwater ocean. myrtle beach a must see!
I live in the Columbia SC area,and there certainly are no big bugs running across the sidewalk,it can get hot in summer,but does not have extremely high humidity. What was described could be Houston Tx,where I also lived. Columbia is only 2 hours from the mountains and 2 hours from the beaches.
