It's a very urban part of London, tho there are some great parks in the vicinity. Transport links aint bad. It has the biggest shopping centre in east London. Crime can be a problem in Central & inner Romford. All in all, i guess Romford is an ok place, it's not the best, but it certainly aint the worst.

Why do some people say Romford is in Essex when they know it's not?

Some people refer to Romford as being in Essex due to its historical and administrative ties to the county. Although Romford is part of the London Borough of Havering and is technically within Greater London, its proximity to Essex and its roots in the county often lead to confusion. Additionally, the area's postal address, which includes Essex, reinforces this perception. This mix of local identity and historical context contributes to the ongoing debate about Romford's geographical affiliation.
