North America, right above the US
The continent Norway is in is Europe. There are seven other continets (from largest to smallest): Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Australia.
From King George's point of view, an important part of his country was in rebellion against him. His soldiers had been killed and his taxes impounded. Very few governments worldwide have accepted such a situation lightly. In the United States, Abraham Lincoln was faced with a similar situation when 11 states seceded from the Union, and he met the rebellion with millions of soldiers and great destruction. In Yugoslavia, when Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia attempted to break away there was a similar civil war in each case. When the Kurdish state attempted to break away from Turkey, it was met with extreme violence, and the same has been true in Russia (Chechnya) and Vietnam (South Vietnam) and Indonesia (Aceh, East Timor) and France (Algeria). King George was doing nothing beyond what any of the leaders of his time would do, and what most nations have done with breakaway areas even to this day.
