  • The official records indicate that no official fruit exists and that may be because the varieties and quality available in different areas of the state is rivaled only by California. California Citrus has a special niche market as does the Santa Rosa Plum, however even with Colorado's precious water resources sent South for irrigation, the Rocky Ford Cantaloupe like the Georgia Peach and Peanut, Hawaiian Pineapple, Idaho potato, Napa Valley Wines, New Mexico Peppers deserve an ovation as do New England Blueberries and Cranberries.
  • It remains irrelevant simply because few things can beat out a good Rocky Ford Mellon but Colorado does not have an official state fruit,
