The shipping point is important as far as the cost of sending a package to Taiwan. It also depends on the package weight and size, when you want it delivered by, and how you are sending it. First class package USPS is the cheapest and most reliable. You don't get tracking with this method, however. If tracking is important, choose Priority Mail USPS. UPS, Fedex, and DHL will all charge much more. If money is important and you want a discount on USPS, you can go to VIPparcel. They offer serious discounts on USPS shipping and have a great postage calculator on their website where you can compute what it will cost you.
If you are receiving a package you don't have to pay. The person whom is sending the package will pay for the postage.
