i couldnt found much of the reason either, but i dont think it has anything important (anyone can confirm?) except being connected between Pakistan and china

well here is what i wrote the answer in my worksheet:

The Khunjerab Pass is a high mountain pass (4693m) than connects Pakistan (left) with China (right). In that region several of the highest mountain ranges of the earth meet such as the Karakoram and the Hindu Kush
