The United Kingdom has a temperate climate dominated by weather systems coming off the Atlantic. It has warm summers and cool wet winters. Summers can be hot some years with temperatures in the high 30s deg C. Winters are mostly wet and cold but most years there is snow in some parts of UK. Low temperatures in the -20s deg C have been recorded. The Gulf Stream is also a dominant factor on the UK weather.
