The Community of Kendal is located in Central Jamaica.This is a quiet community with a population of approximately 3000. five churches, denominations are Anglican, Church of God Of Prophecy, Seventh Day Adventist, Missionary and Shiloah Apostolic. This community also has the Kendal Camp and Conference Centre and located close to the Kirkvine Alumina plant, a Police Station, Post Office and a Community Centre which is the home of the Kendal Football Team ranked #3 in the parish of Manchester.The Kendal Community Club is the only functioning community assembly at this time trying to develop the community at this time with a proposed plan to refurbish the community centre, construct a multi purpose hard court, construction of a monument to highlight the Kendal Crash and construction of a Library/Learning Centre on the same property that has the Lloyd Ffrench Basic School and The Community Centre. The recession is having an adverse effect on the community at this time as the Kirkvine Alumina Plant is closed.
