  1. Go to the center at Marwah House, Saki Naka, Mumbai
    • The area around is very crowded. It took about 45 minutes to drive from Mulund to the Center at about 10 AM.
  2. Upon reaching the center, you have to sign in with building security first
    • Parking is available outside the building, but not on the premises.
    • Parents are not allowed beyond the building boundary wall. There is a Cafe Coffee Day in the adjacent building, where they can wait.
  3. The center is on the 1st floor. Toilets are available inside the center.
  4. Present your passport (any country, must be valid, surname must match the one used to register) to the security person. Bring your confirmation email print out just for safety.
    • You have to store everything except your passport in the locker. This includes: Wallets, watches, handkerchief, keys, coins, pens, pencils, papers, etc. Belts are allowed.
    • Size of the locker is 1' x 1' x 1'. Do not bring large bags, they won't fit.
  5. You are given a confidentiality agreement to sign. You are also given a locker key.
  6. Waiting time: You may have to wait upto half an hour after your scheduled test time, as late arrivals from earlier batch may still be testing (only in case of afternoon slot)
  7. You are asked to pull out your pockets and checked with a metal detector, before being sent to the testing center. You take the locker key with you.
  8. Once inside, your ID is again checked. You are asked to sign in. Your photograph is taken. The confidentiality agreement is collected. You are given a booklet of 5 sheets of scratch paper and 2 sharpened pencils.
  9. You are directed to your computer (inside a cubicle). There are earplugs already there.
  10. The test begins. Follow instructions on the screen.
  11. You have the option to take a break after 3 sections. You should take it.
  12. You are asked to sign out before the break.
  13. You return to the waiting room. You can eat, drink and use the toilet.
  14. You are again checked with a metal detector before returning to the testing room.
  15. Your ID is again checked and you sign in again.
  16. You complete the remainder of the test.
  17. In the end you select the institutions where you want to submit your scores. You can search by country/state.
  18. You sign out once again in the end. You are given a feedback form.
  19. Complete the feedback form and submit it into the dropbox in waiting room.
  20. You may again eat/use toilet before leaving the center.
  21. That's about it!

Notes:

  • Test administrators are flexible with the start time. You can go as early as 1130 for the 1230 slot and they might let you start the test based on computer availability.
  • There may be an unidentified extra section, as well as a research section. Hence total time may go beyond 4 and a half hours.
