Former South Vietnam only: Below Saigon is all Mekong Delta; just like Sacramento Valley, California, to include San Francisco Bay marshlands. North/Northwest of Saigon is Rain Forest type terrain (called jungle during the war); continuing into the Central Highlands; similiar, but not as high and cold as California's Sierra Mountain ranges. Other than post Viet War structures; no cities existed in South Vietnam other than along the coast lines; except for Saigon. Only small towns existed (villages).
