There are a couple of archaeological sites in central Texas that have dated artifacts through many different methods and have come up the same results repeatedly. These sites are the Gault site and the Buttermilk Creek site, which are about 40 minutes north of Austin, TX. Both of these sites have dated artifacts that are around 15,500 B.P. (Before Present), which is thousands of years before the Clovis culture. These sites have begun to cast serious doubt on the "Bering Strait land bridge theory" as the land bridge was impassable at that time.
