back in 1972 at Michigan state university, football player/ bodybuilder , roger callard did a mind boggling 50 reps with 300 pounds. there where five judges in the odd lift contest to make sure he went all the way parallel. amazing all 50 reps were legal .never doing a bad squat. he shattered the former record of 23 reps. roger later became mr America, appearing with schwarzennegger in 7 feature films. he can be found under classic bodybuider of the 70s.

callard pronouced like mallard was a speedy defensive back at state and was able to run a mile 4minutes and 30 seconds. that 67 secound quarters! callard attributed this aspect of his training to be able to have superhuman endurance, this obscure record and event still stands

37 years later as a head scracthing, unbelievable feat of both strength and endurance.

callard was born in Michigan and migrated to California, where his old training partner and buddy is now governour. callard remains a mystery man, and still does film and tv work in Calif.
