The value of denver mint souvenir sets vary greatly from year to year. this is because mintage varied depending upon how many sets were sold each year at the mint's gift shop (the only place to buy them, not sold by mail from 71-72 through 1998). right now the 1982 and 1983 sets sell generally in the $35 to $50 range because there were no regular mint sets sold in those years. The 1972 denver mint set is really difficult to find and I have seen only one on Ebay in last year. Sets in the 90s usually sell in the high 20s while you can get a 1978 or 1979 set for a couple of bucks. The 1976 set sells for more because its bicentennial mintage and there is also a San Francisco souvenir set that year. The latter has been selling around $10 to $15 or more if you can find one. Generally, it is believed circulation ranged from 10,000 to 22,000 in many of the years.
The value of a 1992 Denver Mint souvenir set depends on its condition. This set in excellent condition is valued between 199.99 and 275.00 as of 2014.
It's not a coin it's a mint medal. Its out of a souvenir set from the Denver mint. The sets are only sold at the gift shoppes at the Denver & Philadelphia mints.
It wouldn't be a proof set if it was struck at the Denver mint (all proof sets 1968-present have been struck at the San Fransico Mint) and so it would instead be a partial mint set. I'd say it would be worth about $3-4 if it was sealed.
About 40.00 to 50.00 from an on line auction place as of January 2011
Need to know if it's a U.S. Mint issue proof set or a souvenir set. Post new question.
A Bank of Adelaide 1965 souvenir coin set in mint condition and its original packaging, could fetch anything from $30 to $45 AUD. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.
The set should have coins from the Denver mint & the Philadelphia mint. 5 from each mint
If this set is the 1980 Dollar Souvenir Set in a big Green envelope. This is the 3 coin SBA set with the P, D and S Mint marks. They are very common with an average retail value of $7.00.
The complete 1963 mint set has a value of $40.
Assuming you have a standard Philadelphia / Denver Mint Set rather than one of the other sets also issued (ATB quarters, proof sets, etc.), Numismedia, a major collectibles site, lists a retail value of approximately $74 as of 04/2016.
The value of a United States mint coin set varies. It needs to be in its original packaging with appropriate documentation. A 1956 US mint set has an average value of $40.00.
If it's just the Philadelphia coins it's only half of the set Denver coins should be in the set also. If both mints are included the retail value is $35.00
