It doesn't matter. We know that we were in Spain during the Spanish invasions of the Philippines because there is a city named after one of us on the boat, but we are not Spanish because our name is not common in Spain. There is a slight link to the Basque bloodline due to our family name rests on a now state park castle on the border between Spain and France, but again our name is not common there either. We can only assume that due to the time of our leaving Spain, and of our destination that we were somehow caught up in the Spanish Inquisition, that would only leave one alternative......Jewish?
