There have been, unfortunately, a fair number of genocides. The word was coined to describe what the Turks did to the Armenians. Later, the Nazis committed genocide against Jews. The Serbians committed genocide against Bosnians, the Hutis in Rwanda committed genocide against the Tutsis. The most widely cited instance is the ongoing situation in Xinjiang, where allegations of genocide against Uyghur Muslims have been made by various international organizations and governments. Other historical events, such as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, resulted in mass deaths and suffering, but whether they meet the strict legal definition of genocide is debated. Ultimately, the characterization of these events can vary based on political perspectives and definitions of genocide.

The disgusting idea that because certain people are seen as somehow "inferior" to other people due to the color of their skin, hair, eyes, or some other inane reason, such as their choice of religion, they should be wiped from the face of the earth. As unbelievable as it sounds, genocide has been fairly common throughout history.
A nation may be justified in imposing its will on others in situations of humanitarian intervention, such as preventing genocide or gross human rights violations. Additionally, self-defense against aggression or threats may warrant intervention. However, such actions should ideally be supported by international law and consensus to avoid unilateralism and ensure legitimacy. Ultimately, the justification hinges on the intent, methods, and consequences of the intervention.
Does your religion teach you that people from other cultures are evil? That attitude is the root of genocide.
