What powers did Zeus have?

Zeus' power was he was the ruler of Mount Olympus and all the land. He had everything he could imagine and more. He didn't need anything else but, he didn't need like a real magical power like for example: (strengths, or transforming, or anything like that)...

Zeus was the Ruler of Mount Olympus in Greek Mythology. It was believed that if someone, or a civilization did something the Gods disapproved of, the Gods would smite them, bringing destruction and despair to the afflicted. So in a sense there power was to control the very Universe. But it has been painted that Zeus had the control of Lightning bolts. But, the lightning was merely a symbol that represented Mercelous destruction. Zeus was the King of the Gods of ancient Greece, so his power was absolute over everything. He could do anything, make anything happen, grant any prayer, and had mastery over all the world and everything in it. His equivalent in ancient Rome was Jupiter. In Greek mythology, Zeus's first wife was Metis, who was the Goddess of Wisdom. When she was pregnant, Zeus turned her into a fly and swallowed her, so that she would give birth inside him and only he would bring her into the outside world. The child they produced was Athene, Goddess of War, who apparently emerged from Zeus fully grown and in full armor. Poor old Metis reappeared again from her husband's tummy soon afterwards, back in human form and none the worse for wear!
