The "Eastern Shore". Its the southern tip of a peninsula called the Delmarva, because the entire state of Delaware, part of Maryland, and this little part of Virginia are on it. The Atlantic Ocean is on the east side of it and the Chesapeake Bay is to the west. Today the Eastern Shore is connected to the Norfolk area by the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
