Do u want to export a car to Mexico?

It can be done but as of March of 2008 the choice of cars are now limited.

ALL SEDANs, VANs, SUVs, RVs:

• Must be year model 1998 *
• Their VIN # must be a number (1 - 5)

PICKUPS

• Almost every pick up, model 1998* and bellow
• Any VIN qualifies

* Year models change on the 1st of November

There are rumors that the vehicle types will change on 2009

The documents you need are:

• Original Title (does not have to be under your name)
• A MEXICAN foto ID (Voters card is prefered)
• C.U.R.P Number
• Proof of Mexican address (if no voters card)

Importing vehicles to Mexico is a long process because the government has many forms and regulations. To import a car or truck permanently you need to be a permanent resident or citizen and have a permanent import format.
