Formerly held in Jamaica over a period of several days, the Reggae Sunsplash music festival goes Global in 2009 & 2010, as there are plans afoot to stage it in Florida, and Brazil in 2009 and 2010.
The son of Reggae Sunsplash founder, Tony Johnson, and his company - Junction - have teamed with BWPresents, Bill Walker and Morgan Carey of Digital Riddims Inc. to revive the historic Reggae Sunsplash brand.
Reggae Sunsplash music festivals 2009-2010 will reportedly feature chart-topping mainstream superstars as well as virtual who's who in on the reggae music scene. Lenny Kravitz, No Doubt, Mariah Carey, Sly and Robbie, Burning Spear, Willie Nelson, and Half Pint are a few of the names being banded about so far.
