On the morning of Tuesday, December 21, a total lunar eclipse will be visible

everywhere in the USA.

Here are the times of a few highlights, given in Eastern Time since the question

comes from Michigan. Clocks in Central Time will read one hour earlier, Mountain

Time two hours earlier, Pacific Time 3 hours earlier.

1:32 AM (12:32 AM CT, 11:32 PM Monday night MT, 10:32 PM Monday night PT) :

Leading edge of the moon enters the umbra (totality).

2:40 AM ET: Moon completely within the umbra ... all eclipsed.

3:53 AM ET: Moon's leading edge exits the umbra (out of totality).

5:01 AM ET: Moon's trailing edge exits the umbra, completely out of totality.
