Kentucky Warblers primarily inhabit dense understory vegetation in deciduous forests, particularly in areas with thick brush and low shrubs. They are typically found in the eastern United States, from the southern parts of New England down to the Gulf Coast and extending west to eastern Texas and parts of the Midwest. During the breeding season, they prefer moist, lowland forests, while they migrate to Central America and parts of Mexico for the winter.
