To add Freon to a 1989 Jeep Comanche, locate the low-pressure service port on the air conditioning system. This port is typically found on the larger diameter aluminum line, usually near the compressor. Remove the cap and attach the recharge hose from the Freon canister to the port, then follow the instructions on the canister to add the refrigerant properly. Always ensure the AC system is running and follow safety precautions.
Would have been built with R12. Can be retrofitted to R134a.
Yes I swapped a bench from a '91 into an '89, mounts were the same. I understand that you just can't go Comanche to Cherokee, and vice versa.
I have an 1986 Jeep Comanche with the long bed. I just replaced the gas tank and it is 23.5 gallons. Bought it from J.C. Whitney and it was a OE replacement. I understand the short beds (not available in 86) have an 18 gallon tank.
Yes
The Comanche comes with a 4.0 inline 6. But no the transmissions are not swappable, different bolt patterns
Answer flasher on 89 ComancheIf you are referring to the blinker "flasher fuse", it is the bottom round fuse under the dash in the fuse block.
Hey Kyle==The wire is probably off of the sending unit. GoodluckJoe My 89 Jeep Comanche did the same thing and it was the Oil pressure switch/sender it is located just under where the oil filter goes in

Take the old one out and put the new one in.

You have to buy the retrofit kit from an auto parts store. Comes with the correct valves, freon and instructions. Runs about $50.
